Altyeye-Bushbananen-Dreaming

Das Bild zeigt eine Landschaft aus Spinifex-Gras (gelbe Punkte), Sand (rote Flächen) und dem Traumplatz für die Busch-Banane (Marsdenia australis). Die Buschbanane wächst als parasitäre Ranke auf Bäumen und Sträuchern in der Wüstenregion. Ihre Blätter sind essbar, ebenso die Blüten und die Früchte. Die Blüten schmecken süß. Die Früchte werden das ganze Jahr über geerntet und frisch oder gekocht gegessen. Die haarigen Teile des Samens werden auch als Schmuck bei Zeremonien verwendet. Sie ist eine totemistische Pflanze, die in vielen Mythen eine Rolle spielt.
